Most of you already know everything...but, how about some extra details that I didn't put on facebook? Let's see, where to begin.....ahhh, its just too much! Facebook is so much easier!

How about bullet form?

* Austin joined the Army Reserves
* Ashley came home from her mission
* Sarah started High School
* Craig and Katie had a beautiful baby girl, Emma Lee Tyler
*Ashley went back to BYU-Idaho
* Austin got married to Jessica Lynn Liebziet
* Austin and Jessica had a baby...yesterday...Cole Austin Tyler
* We're moving in two weeks
* Christian's watch A LOT of television....so sad!!!
* Bruce and I are in school (and it sucks during the summer!!)

Okay so for those extra details that I didn't put on facebook....too much to write! I'd be here forever. Just know that I am in love with my grandchildren! I absolutely adore Emma Lee and really look forward to my Thursday evenings with her while Katie teaches Yoga! She is so fun! I'm anxious to get to know little Cole and discover what his personality will be. Hopefully he won't be quite as stubborn as his father!!! Christian is still a little apprehensive about the whole newborn baby thing, but he got over it pretty quick with Emma and is really attached to her. He loves to make her laugh. Last time Emma was here, we took her to the pool and Christian pretended to do some synchronized swimming for her....really funny!!! Emma just laughed at him! Ashley is in Santiago now. In her last letter, she said that she was serving in a very poor area and that her companion is Columbian. She didn't say whether or not her companion speaks any English! I've got more to share, but I don't have a lot of time right now. If you'd like to write to her, you can do so through www.dearelder.com It's free. On the left side of the page you can choose Pouch Mail (free) and then you fill in your return address and choose the mission that she's serving in which is Chile Santiago North. If you write to her NLT 12 noon on Thursday (Utah time) then it'll go out on Tuesday and she'll get it on Wednesday. You can always email her too, but she can't print out your letter, so pouch mail is always a good choice!Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-58248498390589905562009-02-05T10:32:00.000-08:002009-02-05T10:35:05.114-08:00Email from Ashley!I am here at the MTC on my first P-day! I want to share with you my testimony with the very little espanol I have. Just a little something! I LOVE YOU ALL!!! It was a beautiful day, we were on time for church, the speakers were wonderful, the lessons in Gospel Doctrine & Relief Society were excellent, my children were all home for dinner, Grandma Lewis spent the day with us, we played Apples to Apples after dinner, and we had an awesome dessert (Brownie S'mores - yum!). But the icing on the cake was going over to President Wright's home this evening so that Ashley could be set apart as a full time missionary. Roxi and Bruce met us there. President Wright took Ashley and had her sit in the front of the room while he sat with us and talked to her about the service that she'd be rendering for the Lord. The Spirit was so strong. I didn't think it could be any stronger. I was wrong. When Pres. Wright was through speaking, he asked for Bruce (father) to stand with him to set Ashley apart. The blessing he pronounced on Ashley was powerful and I knew that it wasn't just our little family there in the room. Grandma Lewis said that she felt very strongly that were she to open her eyes, she would see the Savior standing there. Ashley will be a great missionary for the Lord. She is prepared. She is not afraid. She is willing to work hard. She knows who she is. She knows that she is supposed to go. She has a testimony.....it is her own. There have been several times in the last few months that I have been in awe of the depth of her knowledge of the Savior. She knows Him. She will help the people of Chile to come to know Him too. She leaves at oh dark thirty on Wednesday morning. So soon, yet I know for her not soon enough. Godspeed, Ashley.

Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-36752716201695502482009-01-17T11:16:00.000-08:002009-01-17T11:27:09.032-08:00Bruce says it's not fat....it's undefined muscle!!So, yesterday I went up to Fitness Together (Craig's a personal trainer there) and I had Craig take all my measurements and put a program together for me to lose weight. Yes, it was just as embarrassing as you can imagine having my totally fit and healthy son find out just how totally unfit and overweight his mother is!! Anyway, I'm not going to post the results of the initial test right now, but suffice it to say that it was a BIG wake up call!! Even though I was completely depressed about the results, Bruce immediately told me that it's not as bad as all that.....it's not fat, just undefined muscle!! Isn't he sweet?! I have my work cut out for me, but with Craig pushing me to my limits and Bruce there for moral support, I'm looking forward to the work. Also, there will be no "before" pictures posted. I wouldn't want anyone to throw up!!!Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-13296882995767479662008-12-22T07:42:00.001-08:002008-12-22T07:53:19.159-08:00Christian got blogged! Two weeks ago we had some old friends we knew in Germany come for a visit. It was a lot of fun to get reacquainted with them and make some new memories. One of the new memories involved taking them to our ward Christmas party. It was about as memorable an event as can be expected of your typical Christmas dinner with the ward family, but there was at least one thing that gave it a little something more. http://jake.roeckerfam.com/?p=512 Gotta love it!!Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-78948538569125053742008-12-15T05:44:00.000-08:002008-12-15T06:04:04.186-08:00Santa, PLEASE give them a lump of coal!!! Yesterday was the longest day and unfortunately it's only going to get worse on the Santa set. My asst. manager tried to commit suicide on Saturday night and her daughter knew nothing about it until she was at work and understandably had a huge meltdown on the set. Austin and I left church early to take over. Now, for those of you unfamiliar with what the line for Santa is like, let me enlighten you. People start lining up about 30 minutes before we open and the line is usually about 1 1/2 to 2 hours longs. We only have one Santa that works all day with a couple of hour long breaks. How do we take care of Santa? We close the line early once we judge how long it takes from a certain point. If a customer is in line prior to us closing it, they get seen. If not, we have to turn them away or tell them to line up for the next session. That makes for ANGRY customers who seem to not care whether Santa ever gets a break. He's an old man, not a magical elf!! So, yesterday, we had the grandmother from *&*&%$ bring her grandson at 5:45pm. We still had a 25 minute line to get through prior to Santa getting a break before we began Pet Night @ 7pm. She created a HUGE scene. I called security for back up. Security was a woos (sp) and after talking to her for about 10 minutes, gave in instead of backing me. I might have gotten past that but the grandmother from *&^%$$ proceeded to tell everyone else that came up to the rope that they should insist as well. Security gave in second time. I told security that I didn't need their help anymore. No one else got past! We tried really hard to take a bad picture for the grandmother from %$*@*^, but unfortunately, her grandson was really cute and took a great picture on the 1st try.....dang it! Pet night started on time with a million dogs and two cats. It lasted past the 9pm close. I'm beat. Santa's beat. I'd like to know if a customer put my asst. manager over the edge...maybe I can blame her attempted suicide on the grandmother from #$%^@!!! Sorry for the rant.....

Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-83854741363018556482008-12-05T20:10:00.000-08:002008-12-05T20:37:01.812-08:00Texting & Driving do NOT Mix!!!

Teenagers (and some adults) really need to get a clue... texting while driving is beyond stupid. This was taken at Pack meeting a couple of weeks ago. I got to paint his face with different colors that represented different qualities that a cubscout has. I don't remember what it signified, just that he thought it was great to put paint on my face!!

Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-32050106792376967512008-11-28T18:32:00.000-08:002008-11-29T21:52:25.407-08:00Traitors!

Ashley and I are traitors of the worst kind. As you all know, we work with Santa taking pictures of terrified toddlers, but tonight we couldn't resist visiting with a famous Santa from a competing mall. He was very jolly and even gave us our picture as a Christmas gift from from him. Ho Ho Ho!!! Merry Christmas! But please, shhh....don't tell anyone!

You may be wondering how it is that Ashley and I could sneak away to see Santa without Christian. Well it's really no surprise...Christian is at the ripe old age of eight and has no interest in seeing Santa - not that he doesn't believe or anything, he's just too cool now to be seen on Santa's knee! Besides, Bruce, Christian and Austin are camping with the Hopewell sons and grandkids...can you say "BBBRRRR"? I am so thankful that Bruce honors his priesthood and has been worthy to baptized each of our five children. In the past, I sometimes wondered if children at the age of 8 can really make a decision of such magnitude, but I have a testimony that they understand enough and that they feel the spirit. They really do make a choice...it is not just a "right of passage." It has been really special to talk with Christian about the decision he made. He knows that it was right...not just because of what we said, but because he felt it.
Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-38890518781974295692008-10-06T19:55:00.000-07:002008-10-06T20:24:26.815-07:00Oh Yeah....I'm it!!I am: a daughter, sister, mother, wife, friend, confidante
I think: deep thoughts (lol)
I have: great kids and a wonderful husband
I dislike: housework
I miss: army life
I fear: lack of job security
I feel: content
I hear: Sarah Palin...no wait...Tina Fey...no wait....Sarah...no, Tina
I smell: Homemade oatmeal raisin cookies...yum
I crave: craving satisfied with the above answer!
I cry: easily....I've even been known to tear up at a commercial
I usually: get up early
I search: the internet way too much
I wonder: when Craig and Katie will make me a grandma
I regret: using my credit cards when I shouldn't have
I wish: I was a size 8 again!
I love: chocolate (that's where the size 8 went!)
I care: about other people feelings
I always: procrastinate
I worry: about my kids all the time
I am not: very creative
I remember: every detail of all my children's births except Craigs...they put me out for that one!
I believe: Jesus Christ is my Savior
I sing: silly songs that I make up when I'm in the shower
I don't always: make dinner...we have a lot of "fend for yourself" nights
I write: in my journal.....yearly at least!
I win: some
I lose: a lot
I listen: to country music and talk radio
I don't understand: how television works!!
I can usually be found: at the computer
I need: hugs from my children
I forget: why I went upstairs!
I am happy: when my family is together
I tag: Jessica, Jeni, Elisa, Diane & ChrissyTyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-41168793360989742272008-09-30T15:07:00.000-07:002008-09-30T15:21:44.963-07:00It's Great to be 8!Christian has reached the ripe old age of 8 years. We had a very small yet very LOUD party for him yesterday after school. Who knew five boys could make so much noise. I was thrilled when they all went home!

For those of you who didn't already know this, Christian has been in a band since summer....he plays guitar. He is the best guitarist EVER according to the other band members. So, can you guess what he wanted for his birthday? A Gee Tar! Now I've got to find someone to teach him how to really play and not just pretend. He is awfully cute when he's strummin' away! Man, I wish we'd kept your guitar, Jake!!!

Also, everyone please mark your calendars. Christian's baptism is on Saturday, October 11 @ 4pm @ the stake center. We'd love to see you all there to share this special day with us.Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-28358804515851482322008-07-31T22:55:00.000-07:002008-07-31T23:01:31.283-07:00Editing wedding photos is hard work!! This is a picture of Sylvia & Lee after they were sealed a few days ago. I'm addicted to Dr. Pepper. Well, actually I'm addicted to the caffeine in Dr. Pepper. Dr. Pepper is just my fix of choice. There should be a 10 step program for caffeine addicts...Cafanon would be a good name. So, why did I decide to quit? Good question. Saturday night I was over at Ira's and I happened to get on the scale in their bathroom and discovered that I had gained 8 lbs since Craig and Katie's wedding. 8 pounds Monday morning I was watching the Today show and there was a woman on who weighed over 500 lbs. That's past tense because she doesn't weigh that much today. Anyway, she decided to just eliminate one thing each month to help her lose weight. The first to go was soda. She lost 40 lbs in one month. Pretty impressive. Since it was still early morning and I hadn't had a chance to go to my favorite watering hole for a Route 44, I decided that there was no time like the present. So no Dr. Pepper. I did great. Sunday...no DP, Monday...no DP, Tuesday.....frickin' migraine that wouldn't go away!! Wednesday....the worst migraine I've ever experienced. Finally Bruce made me take some Excedrin Migraine (it has caffeine in it..ugh). Then Craig and Bruce gave me a blessing. Anyway, I'm so angry that I've let this happen to my body that I don't have ANY desire for the best drink on Planet Earth. Okay, maybe just a little!! But I am committed. I gave up DP to lose weight, but the upside is that I'm detoxing from the overload of caffeine in my body. So here's a challenge for all you DP addicts that read this blog....and you know who you are....how about joining with me and we'll create our own little CAFANON and maybe lose a few pounds in the process. By the way, today's been a good day...no headache so far! DAY 5! WAHOO!Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-6445656327862952812008-06-27T12:28:00.000-07:002008-06-27T12:58:20.245-07:00Woman vs The Public Restroom
I just had to share this email with all of you! But since I no longer have anyone's email address due to a Windows Live Mail malfunction, I decided to post it on the blog!

When you have to visit a public bathroom, you usually find a line of women, so you smile politely and take your place. Once it's your turn, you check for feet under the stall doors. Every stall is occupied. Finally, a door opens and you dash in, nearly knocking down the woman leaving the stall. You get in to find the door won't latch. It doesn'tmatter, the wait has been so long you are about to wet your pants! The dispenser for the modern "seat covers" (invented by someone's Mom, no doubt) is handy, but empty. You would hang your purse on the door hook, if there was one, but there isn't - so you carefully, but quickly drape it around your neck, (Mom would turn over in her grave if you put it onthe FLOOR! ), yank down your pants, and assume " The Stance."In this position your aging, toneless thigh muscles begin to shake. You'd love to sit down, but you certainly hadn't taken time to wipe the seat or lay toilet paper on it, so you hold "The Stance."To take your mind off your trembling thighs, you reach for what you discover to be the empty toilet paper dispenser. In your mind, you can hear your mother's voice saying, "Honey, if you had tried to clean the seat, you would have KNOWN there was no toilet paper!" Your thighs shake more. You remember the tiny tissue that you blew your nose on yesterday - the one that's still in your purse. (Oh yeah, the purse around your neck, that now, you have to hold up trying not to strangle yourself at the same time). That would have to do. You crumple it in the puffiest way possible. It's still smaller than your thumbnail. Someone pushes your door open because the latch doesn't work. The door hits your purse, which is hanging around your neck in front of your chest, and you and your purse topple backward against the tank of the toilet. "Occupied!" you scream, as you reach for the door, dropping your precious, tiny, crumpled tissue in a puddle on the floor, lose your footing altogether, and slide down directly onto the TOILET SEAT .. It is wet of course. You bolt up, knowing all too well that it's too late. Your bare bottom has made contact with every imaginable germ and life form on the uncovered seat because YOU never laid down toilet paper - not that there was any, even if you had taken time to try. You know that your mother would be utterly appalled if she knew, because, you're certain her bare bottom never touched a public toilet seat because, frankly, dear, "You just don't KNOW what kind of diseases you could get."By this time, the automatic sensor on the back of the toilet is so confused that it flushes, propelling a stream of water like a fire hose against the inside of the bowl that sprays a fine mist of water that covers your butt and runs down your legs and into your shoes. The flush somehow sucks everything down with such force that you grab onto the empty toilet paper dispenser for fear of being dragged in too. At this point, you give up. You're soaked by the spewing water and the wet toilet seat. You're exhausted. You try to wipe with a gum wrapper you found in your pocket and then slink out inconspicuously to the sinks. You can't figure out how to operate the faucets with the automatic sensors, so you wipe your hands with spit and a dry papertowel and walk past the line of women still waiting. You are no longer able to smile politely to them. A kind soul at the very end of the line points out a piece of toilet paper trailing from your shoe. (Where was that when you NEEDED it??) You yank the paper from your shoe, plunk it in the woman's hand and tell her warmly, "Here, you just might need this." As you exit, you spot your hubby, who has long since entered, used, and left the men's restroom. Annoyed, he asks, "What took you so long, and why is your purse hanging around your neck?" This is dedicated to women everywhere who deal with public restrooms (rest??? you've GOT to be kidding!!). It finally explains to the men what really does take us so long. It also answers their other commonly asked questions about why women go to the restroom in pairs. It's so the other gal can hold the door, hang onto your purse and hand you Kleenex under the door! This HAD to be written by a woman! No one else could describe it so accurately!

Happy 4 th of July
Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-6219993158197657062008-06-16T20:11:00.001-07:002008-06-16T20:29:50.187-07:00A few pics from Allen High School's Class of 2008!
They made it! (Man, Jordan's tall!)

Christian at his happiest moment!

Now we can all take a break until Sarah's graduation in 2013!!

Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-23551662458026459592008-06-06T20:56:00.000-07:002008-06-06T21:06:33.648-07:00Wish her luck!!
Sarah is really excited to audition for an upcoming kids show. As most of you know, she's pretty much an extrovert and is always happiest in the limelight! She heard about the auditions and immediately grabbed the phone, dialed the number and handed it over begging me to sign her up. I did. Tomorrow we'll drive into Dallas for a 2:30 audition. If things go well, she'll be invited back for a 2nd one. If not....we'll chalk it up to a neat experience. Jeni took these pics of Sarah for us to take. Isn't she pretty?!
Oh, I didn't forget to blog about Austin graduating....I'm just waiting on the pics to post! Thanks to all of you who suffered through the 2 1/2 hour graduation ceremony especially since the majority of you could have left after "H"!!! We love you. Congratulations, Austin and Jordan! I think I may have to follow him around with a camera and catch some other random times/places that he texts. I'm thinking that maybe if I texted him I'd learn a lot more about him than what I know now! Jeni took a lot of great pics of Austin...now we just have to choose which one to put in the graduation announcements! How about a vote? I'll put a few of my favorites on the blog and you let me know which one you like the best.

Picture #1Picture #2

Picture #3

Tyler Famhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14524177523255335627noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7062640595285356870.post-51029875167288189082008-04-25T20:46:00.000-07:002008-04-25T21:00:31.088-07:00Birthdays, birthdays, & more birthdays!April seems to be the happenin' month for our family (and the Hopewell's and the Bjorn's!). Austin turned the big 18 on the 20th, Bruce turns a bigger number tomorrow and Craig will be 22 on Monday!
